How to prepare for interior painting

Prior to William Quality Painting’s Arrival:

• Please remove fragile items such as lamps, knickknacks, artwork, and décor from the work area.
• If possible, remove window treatments before the crew arrives.
• If work is being done in a bathroom, remove towels and personal items.
• If cabinets, shelving, or closets are being painted, remove the contents first.
• Unplug electronics or clearly mark cords that must remain plugged in.
• Please designate a restroom for crew use and, if possible, a utility sink.
• If you have pets, please make arrangements to keep them out of the work area.
• If you have an alarm system, turn it off or let us know how to disarm it if needed.
• Please confirm color selections at least one week in advance.
• If any work is to be done per client direction, please prepare a written task list.
• Inform us of parking options, including street parking, driveway access, or permit needs.
• Signed forms and deposit are due before work begins.

William Quality Painting crews are thoughtful & responsive

• Our crew will confirm the arrival time before the project begins.
• Furniture will be moved away from walls and returned when the work area is complete. Please empty heavy pieces first.
• Furniture and flooring will be protected with plastic sheeting, paper, or canvas drop cloths.
• The work site will be left tidy at the end of each day, with trash removed upon project completion.
• Outlet covers and switch plates may be removed, but electrical fixtures are not dismantled.
• If lead paint is involved, lead-safe guidelines will be followed to reduce contamination risk.
• Questions during the job should be shared with the foreman or estimator so concerns can be addressed quickly.
• Leftover paint will be labeled and left at the home for future touch-ups.
